Description
You are bidding on THE CHRISTMAS SONG/ THE LITTLE BOY THAT SANTA CLAUS FORGOT.
This is a 78 RPM on Capitol 3561 Canada issue and includes the original correct period Capitol sleeve.
Visually shellac is a very glossy VG+++ with a few minor scuff marks and a very outside dead wax nick ( see photo) - collector piece.

Here is some interesting info on this particular record:
The first recording of The Christmas Song was recorded in June 1946 by The King Cole trio.
The 2nd recording was issued in Aug. 1946 by The King Cole trio with string choir
The 3rd recording was issued August 1953 by the King Cole Trio with string choir.( Capitol 15201 US backed by Laguna Mood on the B-side) . This was the first magnetic tape recording .
This Canadian pressing was released sometime in 1956 . Same recording as the 1953 version but with a fuller sound and backed by The Little Boy That santa Claus forgot. This version is much rarer than the US 1953 version.
