MR. SANDMAN / I DON'T WANNA SEE YOU CRYIN'
UK 1954 Columbia Purple & Gold Label SCM 5158
A classic - this is an original first pressing with 1 R & 1 G stampers. Pretty scarce and in superb condition. In a Columbia stock sleeve.
Condition:
Labels are superb, clean, no evidence of play with barely a mark & no wear. There are two small round marks (possibly oil spots?) opposite each other on A-side (see photo) which I have made no attempt to remove & the dark area visible around the centre on the A-side is a manufacturing fault, where it seems that the label doesn't meet the spindle hole & the vinyl is visible. Sharp & unworn gold lettering. Labels EXCELLENT+. Playing surfaces have great shine with just a few scuffs, one notable mark on A-side which is unheard. Audio: A-side is easily Excellent+ (there is just some very light crackle). B-side is a little crackly at the start but not distracting. No skips and no loud pops. Graded
