Description
"THE CHAMELEONS - LIVE AT THE HACIENDA" 2017 EU limited edition of 500 hand- numbered copies 7-track SPLATTER vinyl LP, exclusively released for Record Store Day 2017. On RADIATION RECORDS label. Catalogue No: RRSCV003. Barcode: 8592735006508.
Formed in the Manchester suburb of Middleton in 1981 The Chameleons were one of the more influential post-punk groups of the early to mid 80s. Recorded in early 1983, several months before the release of their acclaimed debut, Script of the Bridge, this live recording, from Manchester's Hacienda club, features early, raw versions of a handful of tracks from their debut album as well as the timeless debut single, "In Shreds", and two tracks only available here ("Men Of Steel" and "Years Ago"). The Chameleons are a hugely influential group that bridged the gap between early 80s UK post-punk, and the swirling brit-pop of early 90s Creation Records. Catch them here at their earliest and rawest. Live At The Hacienda is pressed in a numbered limited edition splatter vinyl version.
