" TURN! TURN! TURN! " Mono First Pressing

Released in the UK in 1966 on CBS RECORDS,
Catalogue number BPG 62652 MONO

The LABELS are in excellent condition with a few spindle trails on either side, visible in angled light.

The MATRIX numbers end A2 and B1, indicating that this is one of the original MONO FIRST PRESSINGS, renowned for superior audio quality (and justifiably so !).

VINYL
The VINYL is in great condition with a beautiful sheen and a few light paper sleeve scuffs and very very light surface marks.
I have just play checked this LP and the sound is RICH and DYNAMIC as you always get with these early pressings. Side One play grades near MINT on my system; Garrard 401 turntable with SME 3009 arm, Shure V-15 type III Cartridge going thru a Leak Varislope Pre-amp and Leak Stereo 50 Valve Amp then out of a pair of B & W DM 640 Speakers. MELLOW and BEAUTIFUL !!! Side Two also play grades near MINT, no clicks, pops, jumps or skips, SUPERB, a REALLY FULL DEEP BASS SOUND and a CRYSTAL CLEAR TOP END, not to mention the trade mark JANGLING GUITARS and LUSCIOUS HARMONIES. I had to play it again !!! As far as the playing surface and sound quality go, I don't reckon there are too many around that are in such good condition, this is a stunning album and it PLAYS FANTASTIC !!!

SLEEVE
The front LAMINATED DAWSON ROSSITER FLIPBACK SLEEVE has some slight creasing and some shelfwear on the bottom corners, though the spine is firm and solid, the rear has some age discolouration, particularly on the flipback edges. The LP comes in it's ORIGINAL CBS COLOUR ADVERTISING INNER SLEEVE which is in excellent condition (see photo).
