THE BUNCH
'ROCK ON' LP
Island Label LP 'Palm Tree' Label 1972
Cat No ILPS9189
Complete with 7" Flexi-Single 'Let There Be Drums' by THE BUNCH feat Gerry Conway
This unique LP features an all-star band line-up of famous names associated with the Island Label. Included are Sandy Denny, Richard Thompson, Tyger Hutchings,Pat Donaldson, Dave Mattacks, Dundee Horns, Gerry Conway, Ian Whiteman, Trevor Lucas, Linda Peters and Tony Cox.
It was released in 1972 with the rather unusual marketing idea of including a 7" flexi-disc lodged in the front sleeve of the LP.
The Vinyl LP is clean and shiny with very few marks to the playing surface of either side. There is no writing or blemish to the label and only small evidence of spindleware. I would rate the condition of the LP vinyl as EX- using the RECORD COLLECTOR GUIDE to Condition Rating.
The sleeve is clean and sound with no splits and only minimal creasing around the edges. There is a small tear about 1" long where the 'cartoon' record arm illustrated on the front cover holds the 7" flexi in place. Clearly that small amount of damage has been done by a previous owner trying to 'disengage' the flexi from the sleeve (not an easy task at any time the way it was designed) This is minimal and taking everything into consideration I would rate the sleeve as VG+/EX-.
The Vinyl comes in a standard blue Island Inner Sleeve.
