Description
This is a very rare POWER POP single by the UK band THE BUMPERS from 1979. AN ORIGINAL, AND A MUST !!!.
This was Stephen Street's first band, and he also co-wrote the B. side. Stephen Street was the producer of THE SMITHS in the mid to late 80's, and later on was in Morrissey's band, and also co-wrote the songs with Morrissey soon after the split of The Smiths.
This single came out on the private HOBO Records, catalogue number HOS 009.
The single does not come up for sale very often, and would fit on a POWERPEARLS type compilation, if it hasn't already been on one.
This single is mentioned in Mario Panciera excellent book 45 REVOLUTIONS, and gets 2 star rating (out of 5) for rarity !!!
The songs are: GEORGIE TAUGHT US / LOVE YOU TILL TOMORROW.
The single never came in a picture sleeve, but comes with a great looking company sleeve !!!, and The condition of the VINYL is EX+ (PLAYED ONCE, but has a very minor warp not effecting play !), COMPANY SLEEVE in EX+ condition.
