The 13th Floor Elevators were the underground faves on the International Artists label, but this Houston band landed the biggest hit of all those Texas psych bands, reaching #14 in '69 with Hot Smoke & Sasafrass . Here's their raw, rockin' 1969 debut including that hit plus Hurry Sundown; It's Safe to Say; I've Got to Reach You ; the title song, and more!
