PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.

OFF-THE-CHARTS RARE orange label variant of this massively collectable Northern gem from 1971 on Shock with title text in thick black semi-cursive text on both sides, Candy on the A side and Dream on the B!!! Vinyl is VG- visually but plays nicely with only light background noise during the quiet bits. Only two of these have surfaced since March of 2024 and if you're curious about what they sold for check Popsike to get an idea as to how rare and in-demand this one is. I've owned this 45 for over 20 years and it's time to pass it on to the next Northern Soul curator. Candy is a slow ballad but the real star of this show is the A-side, a fantastic mid-tempo floor-filler with an irresistible groove and vocals and harmonies to match. If you've never heard it go directly to Youtube and understand why this one is so in demand. You will not be disappointed.
