THE BLUEBOYS (BLUE THINGS) -1965-PREVIW-DAMON DEMO RECORD-ONLY 5 MADE-PLUS EXTRAS
This is one of the holy grails of Midwest rock. It is the Blueboys demo record on Damon Records out of Kansas City, Missouri. Just months after doing this demo, the band would become the Blue Things! The songs cut at Damon were automatically moved to Ruff Records…..same recordings. This copy includes “La Doo Da Da/Just Two Days To Go.” This “La Doo Da Da” is a different recording than the one they would put out on RCA, making it one for the rarest records released from the Midwest ever, as Ruff Records never released it. Their booker told me only 5 copies of the Damon Demo record were ever made. The record is VG+ with some graying on the labels. See photos. Included with this record are two rare Blueboy collectibles. A ticket for the Blueboys to play at the 1965 Salina, Kansas Tri-County Fair and a copy of the Blueboys Fan Club Card for Bluegirls. Oh Yeah. The photo of the band is not included with this offering, just using it so you can see the early pre-Blue Things. This one is going have a high minimum bid as you are getting something very special.
