Description
Extremely rare 1970 album on the ultra-collectable Folk Heritage label.
This is FHR 013S by the five piece folk group The Blue Water Folk who perform a mix of traditional British & contemporary folk. The line-up is Geoff Ashton, Ian Grime, Steve Ocock, Alan Waring & Rita Waring.
Tracks are -
Banks Of the Roses, Three Jolly Rogues, The Snow Is Falling, Lord Nelson, Curagh Of Kildare, Fair & Tender Ladies, New York Girls, Maid Of Fyfe, Early Morning Rain, Marie's Wedding, Trooper & the Maid, Come Kiss Me Love, Blue Nose, Willie's Gone.
All the output of the Folk Heritage label is collectable but the early issues, such as this one, when the label was putting out the best of British folk music, are particularly sought after.
They were issued in very small quantities and were mainly sold by the band at gigs in small folk clubs - hence their rarity today.
VINYL & SLEEVE LOOK IN VERY GOOD ++ CONDITION.
HAS SOME LIGHT HAIRLINES & SHOULD PLAY WITHOUT PROBLEMS ALTHOUGH THERE MAY BE SOME NOISE.
VINYL IS VISUALLY GRADED & TENDS TO BE IN BETTER CONDITION THAN SUGGESTED BY THE GRADING . SLEEVE IS NOT GRADED , HOWEVER SIGNIFICANT FAULTS ,EG SPLITS ARE MENTIONED
