Description

THE BLACK SAINT AND THE SINNER LADY- CHARLES MINGUS 1964 COLLECTABLE MONO LP. I bought this record new in the early '60's.It is an early pressing possibly a first [ref flip-down covers on the sleeve, and A1-N, B1-N run- offs on the vinyl]. It is complete with the original inner sleeve. The record has a deep black sheen and it plays perfectly with no audible record noise and runs perfectly flat. There two very light scratches on side 1 first track and one on side two which I have tried to show on the above photo's. These are so slight I can only see them under a bright lamp and they have no effect at all on the sound. I have played this record prior to sale on my P6/ania system and it sounds excellent. In view of the above slight defects I have graded it VG+ on the "Goldmine Standard". The outer sleeve has no serious defects just a small burr on the bottom right corner and is similarly conservatively graded. The vinyl quality is typical of records of that era, and would be classed as HD these days.
