Description
The Black Mambazo was a popular kwela jazz group in South Africa during the 50’s/60’s. Listed on the label as "Zulu Jive Vocal/Flute." I've not been able to ascertain this record's release date, but I estimate it to be around 1960. As far as I can tell, it has never been reissued or anthologized. An extremely rare and special piece of South African musical history, in pristine condition! Because they're so fragile, I "overpackage" all 78 record shipments in an oversize box with plenty of stiff cardboard fillers. You'd have to run this over with a truck to damage the contents.
