THE BEATLES

WHAT GOES ON

ACETATE

ON Emidisc 45

4 - 11 - 1965

The original version of this song was written by Lennon back when they were the Quarrymen and it was going to be the follow up to Please Please me but for some reason it did'nt surface again until 1965,in fact this actual Emidisc was cut on 4th NOV 1965 by studio balance engineer Anthony Clark (AC) whose intials are written clearly on the label and ecthed into the run off, Infact the only other known existing copy was cut two days later by engineer Ken scott and this copy was owned by Brian Epstien.

I have done extensive reaserch on this disc and it is hard to find much information but by having the engineers name and exact date of cutting it pin points the disc to a certain point in The Beatles history therefore giving us a near unique peice of Beatles memorabilia.

The condition is outstanding and it still has a strange acetate smell, overall including the label it has to be classed as in EXCELLENT condition.

on the vinyl run off it has the initials AC and the word Emidisc ecthed in aswell as catalouge numbers  X2372-A and 44623-2.

On the label it again has the intials AC and title "WHAT GOES ON" in pencil aswell as The Beatles, 45 and 2:46 the exact length of the particular cut.

This really is an amazing oppurtunity for a real collector to grab a slice of history from The beatles Rubber soul days.

Please ask any questions and if anyone can tell me more on this disc please feel free.

Just to put peoples minds at rest, this is NOT a reproduction. I have had a few emails asking me this as you would expect with this type of item.

There are some people out there that will sell repro's and you can usually tell these by the ridiculously low buy it now price also the lack of evidence through there description,But I can assure you that this is the real article with the history to back it up!

I will garauntee anybody there money back in full if they find this to be a reproduction because I am 100% confident that this is an original, and one that I cannot let go for peanuts just because there are a very small minority of dodgy dealers who spoil items like this for the rest of us.

Please, Please ask any questions you like and I will only be to glad to answer as best I can.
