LABELSEXCELLENT (CLEAN LABELS with NO rips tears stickers or removal marks,and just VERY LIGHT spindleusage,has some small x's against some track no's but they ar black on black so hard to really see)
SLEEVEFront board and Inner Gatefold EX+
FRONT board is clean and unmarked with no rips tears writing stickers or removal marks with no ringwear and a bit of light pressure wear and creasing.
Rear board VG REAR white board is only lightly aged but has a name near the bottom and pen stroke near the top,and little marks against some of the track listing,and a small nick in the opening about 1/3 down from the top Flipbacks EX- Flipbacks are complete and clean ,there is about 2 inches of wear to the top where a piece of tape has been removed at some time and the glue has seeped into the laminate or card. Spine EX+ COMPLETE and uncrushed with no laminate and clear lettering Edges EX+ TOP and bottom edges have very light wear with no laminate loss cracks or creasing Opening EX+ Opning has LIGHT wear and LIGHT usage Corners EX+ The corners have light wear and a bit of rounding INNER /EXTRASEMITEX INNER: EXCELLENT (CLEAN with NO writing rips tears edge splits or repairs and light overall storage and handling wear,and a few light brown ageing spots on one side)
DETAILSWhile the Beatles still largely stuck to love songs on Rubber Soul, the lyrics represented a quantum leap in terms of thoughtfulness, maturity, and complex ambiguities. Musically, too, it was a substantial leap forward, with intricate folk-rock arrangements that reflected the increasing influence of Dylan and the Byrds.
The group and George Martin were also beginning to expand the conventional instrumental parameters of the rock group, using a sitar on "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)," Greek-like guitar lines on "Michelle" and "Girl," fuzz bass on "Think for Yourself," and a piano made to sound like a harpsichord on the instrumental break of "In My Life." While John and Paul were beginning to carve separate songwriting identities at this point, the album is full of great tunes, from "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)" and "Michelle" to "Girl," "I'm Looking Through You," "You Won't See Me," "Drive My Car," and "Nowhere Man" (the last of which was the first Beatle song to move beyond romantic themes entirely).
George Harrison was also developing into a fine songwriter with his two contributions, "Think for Yourself" and the Byrds-ish "If I Needed Someone."
