Here we go again. Wish my brother could answer questions on this one.
At first glance this appears to be The Beatles boxed set of the album "Let It Be" in a box-shaped sleeve that holds the album and a 164-page book. Outer sleeve has some wear on corners, though it is still in the shrink wrap. The inner part of the box has some wear but still holds it's shape and the book just fine. The book is almost all photos of the band, with a few pages of brief interviews interspersed. Writing is in English. According to the inside page the book is Titled "The Beatles Get Back", which puzzled me for a moment as the cover of the book has the same photos on the cover as are on the album cover.
That caused me to look more closely at the album, which is still shrink wrapped unopened. Photo 4 is a close up of what appears to be an ink stamp in the top right picture of George, and seems to be on the cover, not the shrink wrap. Photo 5 shows the record company logo on the back - EMI Odean SOLP 7091 - and Photo 6 shows where it was made - Venezuela! Huh? Looked it up on Google and they did produce this album, with the label being red, not the Apple green logo. I can't verify that, as I won't open the shrink wrap.
Once again I'm stuck trying to figure out if this is a rare edition of the box set, or just a rare album in a set where it doesn't belong. Either way it's a great set. I just flipped through the book, but there's many great shots I've never seen.
I just found this on discogs.com:
"Notes Odeon Yellow Labels. Also there is a limited edition with the Book made in UK On back cover is written: "Thanks to George Martin/Glyn Johns/Billy Preston/Mal Davies/Peter Bown/Richard Hewson Brian Rogers"
So I guess this is the Venezuelan release with the book. discogs.com says the label is yellow.
