 THE BEATLES - REVOLVER LP (SCROLL TO BOTTOM OF LISTING FOR HIGH-RES IMAGES)

A GENUINE AND EXTREMELY RARE FIRST PRESSING OF REVOLVER WITH A SIDE 2 MATRIX OF 606-1 (DENOTING THE ALTERNATIVE CUT OF 'TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS). THE RECORD HAS BEEN CLEANED USING A DISCO ANTISTATIC RECORD CLEANING MACHINE AND FULLY PLAY TESTED.

GRADING:

SLEEVE: EX- A really fantastic example. The Ernest J Day Flipback front laminated sleeve is exceptionally clean and clear from any major imperfections (PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PICTURES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LISTING SEEM TO HAVE PICKED OUT THE BLEMESHES, THE SLEEVE LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN IN THE PHOTOS). There are NO splits or tears, nearly NO storage wear, only a small amount of discolouration around the edges of the front of the sleeve. There are some brown marks along the spine but these are remote from the text which is perfectly legable. There is a VERY SMALL  (5mm?) circle on the front of the sleeve where the laminate has been disrupted but the laminate is not peeling around it. The spine suffers from some flattening. The back of the sleeve is in equelly excellent condition with the only flaw being the remnants of some biro where someone has written their name on the top flipback. The other flipbacks are clean and clear from grime. The unlaminated backpiece is perfect except where some donut has lightly put a single line through each of the track names. This strike through is in blue biro and is very light. Apart from this and the slight brown marks around the spine the sleeve would grade as EX+. A really lovely example. (PLEASE NOTE THAT MY KIT LENS WAS SMASHED LAST WEEK SO I HAD TO TAKE PHOTOS WITH A TELEPHOTO LENS WHILE STANDING ON A CHAIR. BECAUSE OF THIS THE PICTURES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LISTING SEEM TO HAVE PICKED OUT THE BLEMESHES, THE SLEEVE LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN IN THE PHOTOS)

VINYL: VG+ Under bright light the record shows some wispy scratches and scuffs. None are feelable. The record plays through really well with side 2 sounding mainly EX+. Side one has some light crackling during some of the earlier tracks but neither side has any loud pops or crackles that detract from the listening experience. It goes without saying that there are no skips or jumps. 'Tomorrow Never Knows' plays through as EX+.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. 
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. 
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
