This is the UK 1st Press of 'Yellow Submarine' by The Beatles. The 1st press is complete with the earliest 1/1 matrix, the very earliest 1/1 mothers and early R/R stampers. It is complete with dark green Apple labels and the rare red line Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve. The record has the rare black inner sleeve.
The record is in Very Good condition. The vinyl has a sensational bright gloss, with just a mark on Side One and a numbr of very light marks on Side Two. On playing the voices are sharp and the instrumentals are warm, bold and clear. There is a little occasional background noise but this does not spoil the enjoyment of this scarce 1st press at any point. The label is completely clean with bright green and sharp text. There is only the slightest spindle wear. The scarce black inner has one edge split and some centre wear but it is still solid.
The Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve is in Very Good condition. The laminate has a superb shine and the colours are vivid. There is some very light edge wear. On the unlaminated back the text is clear and is it very clean and bright, there is only the slightest discolouration. The flipbacks are fully intact and sealed and the red line is sharp. The 1st press pinched spine is firm and the whole sleeve feels solid.
