The Beatles: The Collection was a vinyl box set of UK released Beatle album, remastered at half speed from the original stereo master recordings. Each album was pressed on virgin vinyl by the Victor Company of Japan (JVC) ensuring the best sound quality possible. The album covers were replaced with photographs of tape boxes and log sheet. The original album covers were included in a booklet which also featured a certificate of authenticity as this was a limited edition collection.
MFSL repressed a second run of the Beatles Box Set for a total production run of 25,000 until October 1985.

The soundtrack to the Beatles' animated film of the same name, Yellow Submarine presents four new Beatles tracks recorded between 1967 and early 1968. In addition, George Martin's score for the film rounds out the effort. While not considered a "proper" album, Yellow Submarine contains many memorable moments-George Harrison's psychedelic "Only a Northern Song," peppered with organ and candid sentiments, and "It's All Too Much," carried on the shoulders of a mesmerizing Mellotron, gigantic percussion, and titanic guitar feedback. Originally developed as a creative way for the band to fulfill its contract with United Artists after making "Help!," "Yellow Submarine" gave The Beatles an opportunity to create a unique story that demanded a minimal time commitment. Presaging the music video era, the film focused more on pairing music with interesting imagery than telling a proper story, but it went on to be both a critical and commercial success.
