Original 1966 LP album cover The Beatles “Yesterday & Today”, first state “BUTCHER”, mono, released 15 June 1966.

The Beatles “Yesterday & Today”, Capitol T-2553 (Mono), Released June 15, 1966. Butcher Cover first state! NOT A PEEL! Textural sleeve. Factory #3 pressing, Scranton, Pennsylvania. The album cover embodies all the necessary characteristics of an original authentic Capitol Records product from 1966. This Cover has NO “breath holes” but it does suffer from an indent which travels approximately halfway down the front cover in the middle of the image. Record has black rainbow label without “subsidiary” rim print. First East Coast pressing, Scranton, PA. Machine stamped matrix numbers: T1-2553-G6 / T2-2553-G8 3.

Cover is in VG+ condition with some fading on the front. There is some writing in pen on the back cover. Apparently an attempt was made to remove the ink or to clean the back cover which resulted in some fading of the ink. All seams are strong and in no danger of splitting! The album does have some residual odor from the previous owner's home because he was a heavy smoker.
Vinyl is in VG+ condition with light scratches.
