Description
The Beatles "Yesterday and Today" Original First Pressing Mono Vinyl Record Album.1966 Capitol Records T 2553.
This album was a 2nd state trunk cover that has been peeled off to reveal the infamous Butcher Cover. This was not a professional peel, but still I must say a pretty good job.
Condition:Cover-VG+ - The front has nice crisp color to it,albeit with some flaws. There is a 1-3/4" tear on Ringo's smock. Some spots where the color was rubbed off around his hair also. There are other smaller rubs throughout, and also glue residue here and there.Overall a nice picture.Top right corner has a ding, the other corners are pretty good. Some creases and wrinkles around the perimeter. The back has very light wear with some ring wear at the top. Also some creases around perimeter.Looks very good for its age. Bottom right corner has RIAA stamp with the #3 to the left. That means it comes from the Capitol Records Scranton,Pennsylvania plant. The spine has some wrinkling and creases but very readable with no splits.Bottom seam has light wrinkles with no splits.Top seam has light wrinkles with a 2-1/2 " split in the middle.
Inner Sleeve - VG+ - Original 1966 Capitol Records Ad inner sleeve. PE-12-3BL . Full length crease on right side and a few smaller ones.Small ding bottom right. No splits or tears.Nice shape.
Record- The record is very shiny. In a hard light it shows very light scuffs and scratches.Original Capitol rainbow labels are excellent with no wear or spindle marks.Matrix runout Side One:T-1-2553-F-19.Matrix runout Side Two: T-2-2553-G-20. It also comes with a copy of the original Capitol records apology letter sent to reviewers.
