An opportunity to own a historic Beatles rarity
THE 1966 'BUTCHER COVER' was WITHDRAWN as reviewers raised issue with the controversial artwork.
Finding an original is extremely difficult so a nicely peeled copy is the goal.
Here is a fine example.

The cover is VG++. The title on the spine nicely visible, some wear.
The face is matt paper with the grainy photo like it's on sack-cloth, it's made at the California printing facility (as the number 6 indicates). There's a shallow cut-line probably done removing the original shrink wrap prior to pasting the new cover, and a slight rub to the top right corner, which seems to be where most have (usually more) damage. Only the 'i' in "SING" is affected, and the '3' of the catalogue number is faded. The grey has a subtle touch-up (though the 'i' could have been easily repaired and wasn't). There's very sparse original paste residue evident when held at an angle in the light.
The rear sleeve is clean & only very slight aging to the card evident
The disc is beautiful, TOP SHINE NEAR MINT condition, great player and NM lables.
LETTER OF WITHDRAWAL from Capitol Records is also featured in this particular copy. The company had to send it to distributors, pulling the cover was a late decision.
ORIGINAL ORANGE AD INNER SLEEVE included, as released in 1966.
This is genuine and rare, a highly prized collectible.
