Mega rare original UK first pressing on the
DARK GREEN APPLE LABEL Released in 1969 the catalogue number is PMC 7070
First press matrix numbers are YEX 715-1 & YEX 716-1 with incredibly early stampers with 1 at 9 o'clock and GD at 3 o'clock on side one and 1 at 8 o'clock and L at 3 o'clock on side two and it does have the "SOLD IN UK" text on the label. The sleeve has the 2 red lines printed on the reverse(see photos). The record comes with its correcr first press die-cut black inner and first press front laminated flip-back mono sleeve.The unlaminated rear has the two red lines above and below the text.
Seriously rare this is one of the HARDEST BEATLES UK issued LP'S to find . At the date of its release in JANUARY 1969 MONO was being phased out and this is the last official mono LP released by the band. In fact most copies were "special order" only as stereo was now the universal choice.
COVER
FRONT VG Fully laminated with no lifting though slight discolouring but as this is a lamimnate it should clean up nicely. Thumb & line creases but no tears.
BACK VG Unlamnated with a couple of light marks a bit scruffy.
EDGES
TOP. EX Complete with only a pinprick of wear.
BOTTOM. Wear at middle bottom
OPENING, Some feathering of the opening.
SPINE. No breaks with all printing perfectly legible. Minimal wear.
CORNERS Usual corner wear at all four.
Comes with original black die-cut inner
AUDIO/VISUAL GRADING OF VINYL.
Lotsa surface scratches / scuffs. A well used example. No repeats No jumps fair amount of crackle so VG. Do not expect a mint or near excellent example. This record has been well used!! Bid accordingly
