This is a UK press of the 'White Album' by The Beatles. This press has the original top opening sleeve, dark green Apple labels, black inner sleeves in fabulous condition, four photographs and the lyric poster. The records have the earliest 1/1/1/1 matrix numbers and the original heavy early vinyl. The high gloss bright white sleeve has the stereo stamp on the top back corner.
The records are in Excellent condition. The vinyl is exceptionally glossy and jet black with no sign of heavy play at all. The grooves are sharp and there are no deep needle marks at all, just a couple of the lightest wispy surface marks on each side. It really is in superb condition - not mint but still it is rare to find a White Album in such great shape.
The dark green Apple labels are in sensational Excellent condition. The colours are rich, the white is bright and the text is sharp. There is the very slightest spindle wear.
The sound quality is Excellent - superb definition throughout. Rich, warm audio, with just a few moments of brief noise. The sound is still clear, bright and even though there are moments of light noise, it is still a pleasure from start to finish.
The records are complete with their original black inner sleeves in Excellent condition. These inners are always so worn, but these original black inners are firm, with NO edge splits and only light centre wear. The black is still bold and the sleeves are extremely solid.
The 4 photographs are in Excellent condition. The colours are vivid and they all have their original just pressed sheen. The back of the photos are very clean and bright.
The original press matt double sided poster has NO fold splits, it is solid and bright. There is the slightest wear to the inner edges but this does little to spoil the poster, it is in Excellent condition.
The Garrod & Lofthouse Stereo top opening laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The laminate has an amazing high gloss and it is completely clean. The white has a little discolouration, but it is still extremely bright and the number and Beatles embossed text are sharp and entirely unworn. There is the very slightest opening edge and corner wear. On opening the cover still has the wonderful firm laminate creak and the inside images and text are superb. The flipbacks are sealed and complete. The edges are firm and the whole sleeve is extremely solid.
Every element of this White Album is in sensational condition. It is a superb example of the increasingly rare complete 1968 classic LP. 804 (GS 7.0.8 (804))
