Welcome to my auction for one of my "The Beatles" collectables.
On offer is a contract pressing by Decca of
"WITH THE BEATLES"
FACTORY SAMPLE STICKER.
When The Beatles started to hit it big time,EMI could not keep up the demand in pressing records,hence they contracted to Decca, Pye being the other record company that was chosen to press this album
It is not known how many contract pressings were pressed by Decca but not that many survived in respectable condition.most were played at parties with the turntable arm up,this ensured none stop play....
This copy is from my own vast collection,as i have been a Beatles fan right from the early days...
Vinyl is vg+to excellent has some faint marks,nothing to spoil the sound of the recordings.super shine,even the run out groove looks superb
No warping,lays flat,treated with T.L.C.
Small bit of spindle wear as it was played not looked at.(see photo)
side 1....xex 447 -7n in run out groove..
side 2..xex 448 - 7n.. in run out groove...Decca did not use D or G stampers....at 9 oclock.....
Emitex inner sleeve in top condition.
Sleeve in VG+ or higher condition...apart from the corners ,which are a little scuffed,even the opening is in great condition,a very nice sleeve..
Reverse is just off white ,due to age,no writing,tape splits etc,flipbacks are all perfect and in beautifull condition for its year,just some brown specks running along it's edges and a few in the middle.
spine tip top condition,fully readable With the Beatles.
Laminate great. .
