All records are graded to the Record Collector Guidelines, with extra information added as required when play tested. Also all photos above are of the exact record you will receive if successful.
These records are in very good condition. There are spindle marks on all four of the labels but not a drastic amount. There are no pen marks, scuffs, severe fading on any side and overall the labels are clean and bright. The centre hole on record two shows some wear and is a touch loose but nothing serious. Overall all four labels are in good shape with just the few spindle marks to report really.
As for the vinyl itself, all sides do have light wispy lines visible in normal light, with also a few scratches and mark showing. There is nothing really deep or very sinister on any side however, but there are light scratches and marks as I say. When viewed under bright light the marks clearly show, along with lots of light wispy lines. There is again nothing really major and no severe scuffs or blemishes. Both are flat and have a lovely vivid gloss.
I play tested both the records and they played very well. They both lay flat with little to no movement in the record arm. The audio produced is excellent overall with only occasional interference, but there were a few minor things that I noted. I will try to give some information on each side as I noted it.
Side 1: Vinyl lays flat, plays well and would grade as EX- audibly with only some surface noise in the run in and between tracks. No skips, loud disruptive clicks, sticks or serious issues, just light static in places.
Side 2: A slightly clearer audio on the whole than side 1 but there were two louder clicks in 'I will' and one in 'Julia'. Overall despite these quick clicks I would still grade the audio as EX with no major interference bar these.
Side 3. Again lays flat and plays well with no serious issues such as skips, sticks or loud clicks. I heard a couple of light clicks in the run in or very beginning of 'Long, Long, Long' but these were pretty minor and other than some minor surface noise in the run in/out and between some tracks I would again grade as EX- audibly.
Side 4: Lays flat and plays with no major issues. There are some very faint clicks audible in the quiet intro to 'Honey Pie' but these soon become inaudible and the rest of the record has no such issues and no other problems bar some slight static in quieter parts. I would grade this side as VG+.
So overall a thoroughly enjoyable play test with no major problems such as skips, sticks or really disruptive clicks. There is also only a minor amount of surface noise and no major problems with crackling or popping. The audio is as a whole better than VG and there is little to no distortion. As there is not a huge amount of spindle marks I dont think it has been played to death and as a result the audio is free from sibilance and other distortion.
The top loading laminated gatefold sleeve is in very good condition and is numbered No. 0130207. It has some wear to the edges and corners(pics), but the writing along the spine is all legible. There are no tears or pen marks anywhere, but there is ring marks showing and some age related discolouring throughout. There is also some minor creasing to the laminate in places and a small scuff on the rear to the top left corner area. Overall it is strong and has no major defects, but isnt pristine with the slight discolouring and minor laminate creasing being its main issues. Please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible on the sleeves condition.
It contains both its original plain black inners, with one in excellent condition with no major tears, splits or defects. The other is in good condition with no splits but a tear one one side which has caused a 'flap' to hang loose. I will send the records in brand new plain white replacements to ensure no damage occurs to the originals.
Also included are its 4 original picture inserts, all of which are in excellent condition with no tears, scuffs or major creasing.
The large fold out poster is also included and is in very good condition but does have some mild creasing and a split up the middle of the bottom section(see pics).
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to ensure swift delivery.
I hope my photos are comprehensive enough but if you have any questions then don't hesitate to contact me. I can also supply further photos or videos if required. Also please check my Ebay feedback for a positive history of record grading, A1 communication and quick delivery times.
