Considered to be one of most INFLUENTIAL and ICONIC Albums of the 20th Century, this is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK Apple ** FIRST ISSUE STEREO** TWO Vinyl LP Set for The Beatles WHITE Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.

This HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE Set is 100% COMPLETE, with TWO **MINT** ORIGINAL UK FIRST ISSUE STEREO VINYL LPs, Four ORIGINAL **MINT** Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle (It even has its ORIGINAL **MINT** Protective Photo Spacer!), an ORIGINAL **MINT** Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, Two ORIGINAL**EXCELLENT** MATT BLACK INNER BAGS. The set is housed within its ORIGINAL, First Issue, Fully Laminated TOP OPENING, NUMBERED GATEFOLD Sleeve, printed ‘Stereo’ to the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve.

LP Description/Condition:

The TWO First Issue STEREO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional DARK GREEN Apple label, all bearing the ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale.…’, ‘An E.M.I. Recording’ and ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to ALL four sides of the record labels. All four labels are printed ‘Stereo’.

All four record labels in VERY NICE MINT condition, LOVELY CLEAN, UNDAMAGED record labels, VIVID Black Print, showing NO centre spider trails on any of the labels, the light mark on side 2 label is a manufacturing flaw.

Both vinyl Discs are in the best condition that i have seen in many years and are without hesitation in **BEAUTIFUL** MINT condition, the previous owner purchased two of these albums at the time in 1968, 1 MONO and 1 STEREO, he played this one only once and stored it away.

The side 1 matrix YEX 709-1 and Side 2: YEX 710-1.
The side 3 matrix YEX 711-1 and Side 4: YEX 712-1.
Side 1 stampers: 6 GDR and Side 2: 2 RG.
Side 3 stampers: 2 PP and Side 4: 1 PP.
There are NO embossed ‘KT’ tax/price codes visible on any of the record labels.

The TWO 12” Vinyl LPs come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags which are in EXCELLENT to EXCELLENT PLUS condition, one of the bags has a small tear on the centre die-cut hole, and light creasing, the other has only light creasing, there are NO seam splits to any of the bags.

….And are housed in an ORIGINAL, FULLY LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse GATEFOLD Sleeve. This FIRST ISSUE Sleeve is TOP OPENING and NUMBERED 0531462, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal black and white portraits of each of The Beatles together with the track listing. The top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve is printed ‘Stereo’.

The Original Fully Laminated Gatefold sleeve is in EXCELLENT PLUS condition. This is a BRIGHT, FIRM, and GLOSSY sleeve throughout, with only mild record indentation. The back panel is STRONG and UNDAMAGED, with only mild record indentation. The inner gatefold is in FIRM, UNDAMAGED excellent plus condition. The spine edge is FINE, NO laminate flaking, and the printed wording ‘The Beatles, Stereo PCS 7067-8, Mono PMC 7067-8‘ clearly readable. There is a small wear mark to the top left corner, visible on the reverse of the sleeve (nothing major). There is NO seam splitting to any of the edges, and only a very mild corner bruise to the bottom right hand corner .

There are Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle (It even has its ORIGINAL Protective Photo Spacer) - All four photos are all in UNDAMAGED mint condition, NO pin holes to any of the corners. The Original Photo spacer is also in Mint condition.

And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in SUPERB mint condition, machine folded as NEW!

Play Quality:

Having carefully played both LPs, all FOUR sides play with BEAUTIFUL Stereo sound quality with NO faults, There are NO skips, clicks, distortion, or background crackle. – A SUPERB listening experience.

In our Professional opinion, interest in ORIGINAL, COMPLETE examples of this ICONIC Beatles UK WHITE ALBUM release will continue to RISE, thereby increasing the longer term INVESTMENT POTENTIAL.
