RELISTED DUE TO A NON-PAYING 'BUYER'
A 1968 first UK pressing from the brilliant Beatles, who were prolific in the recording studio at the time - and due to their retirement from touring and playing live, they concentrated on recording.
Revolver, Sgt.Pepper, The Beatles, Yellow Submarine were interspersed by some truly incredible singles like Magical Mystery Tour, Hello Goodbye, Penny Lane, Paperback Writer, All You Need Is Love, and Hey Jude....what an output!
This album was particularly highly rated by George Martin, but it was evidence of the beginning of some disparity too. They'd been apart and composed these tracks in that time - though in the studio they were getting a little more distant and putting their tunes together separately.
George Harrison probably laid down the finest piece of all with 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps', he didn't have so many songs individually, but the ones he did record were breathtakingly good!
This is a valuable album of The BEATLES later releases, a superb double lp loaded with great music.
Although having a few marks this plays well, the excellent music JUMPS from the grooves. The latest remastering of this album must have been challenging to better anything of George Martin's superb production skill.
It's outstanding indeed!
CONDITION;
The VINYL is VG++, lovely shine, a few marks, one can be 'slightly' felt on Back In The USSR - but not effecting the sound when I played the lp.
These sides were cut very nicely, so the music has a dimension that projects this luxurious sound with clarity. This isn't for the 'mint' collector perhaps, but very respectable and hard to upgrade!
Dark Green APPLE Labels are in EX CONDITION, no pen, stickers or tears.
*NOTE; THERE'S NO "EMI" TEXT*
...just the regular 'Mfd. in the U.K.' reference! This is extremely rare on the STEREO copies (especially on both discs!).
The FULLY LAMINATED NUMBERED GATEFOLD *TOP OPENING COVER* is EX, some light wear, bright with no writing or stickers.
The lyrics/poster is included, with the photos (tiny pinholes at corners), and black covers are here with no seam splits.
