Description
I have for sale one copy of The Beatles' "White Album". This is a MONO recording from 1968 and is a first pressing. The album is in Very Good/Excellent condition (more details later). The number on the front is 00641645 which is, I understand, a relatively low one.
The Album is 100% complete which means it consists of;
1 Gatefold Sleeve.
2 Black inner sleeves.
2 LPs.
1 massive poster with the Lyrics on one side.
4 A4 sized prints of the individual Beatles.
1 "Photo Spacer" which is just a bit of paper really, but apparently sought after!
The Matrix Numbers are;
Side One matrix: XEX 709-1
Side Two matrix: XEX 710-1
Side Three matrix: XEX 711-2
Side Four matrix: XEX 712-1
In the run-out groove the stamped figures are as follows. Side one has a "HP" on one side and a "1" oppossite. Side 2 has HH and 3 on it. Side 3 has P and 2 and Side 4 has T and 1. Near the centre spindle hole on side 3, stamped under the green apple is a "K" and a "T".
CONDITION
The vinyl is in excellent condition with only a light scratch on Side 4. The record plays beautifully, there IS a VERY small amount of crackle throughout, though it is barely noticable unless you are listening for it!This could be partly due to my very old and seldom used record player as much as anything. Also, I would think if the record was "restored"/cleaned properly (as I understand vinyl can be) then it would lose the small amount of crackle that currently exists. The labels have the green apple on Side 1 and the white sliced apple on Side 2.
The inner sleeves are plain black paper and in very good condition with a minimun of wear and tear.
The main sleeve is in VERY good condition with no creasing. It has "yellowed" very slightly with age, please examine the photos for evidence of this. The lettering on the front and spine is clearly visible.
The Poster is in MINT condtion as are the four Photo Prints. The Photo Spacer has a crease running acroos the top but is otherwise immaculate.
This is a very colletable item and the opening Bid will reflect this.
