RARE MONO, RESPECTABLE CONDITION, ALL COMPONENTS IN THIS COMPLETE VINYL LP SET ARE 100% ORIGINAL
Arguably one of most INFLUENTIAL and ICONIC Albums of the 20th Century, this is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK Apple **FIRST ISSUE MONO** TWO Vinyl LP Set for The Beatles WHITE Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.
This SUPERB Set is 100% COMPLETE, with TWO ORIGINAL UK FIRST ISSUE MONO VINYL LPs, Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle, an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse1968, Two ORIGINAL MATT BLACK INNER BAGS. The set is housed within its ORIGINAL, First Issue, Fully Laminated TOP OPENING, NUMBERED 0082934 GATEFOLD Sleeve.
LP Description:
The TWO ORIGINAL Issue MONO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional DARK GREEN Apple label, with ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale label text, ‘An E.M.I. Recording’ to side 1 & 2 of the record labels, and ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to ALL four sides of the record labels.
Disc 1, Side 1 matrix XEX 709-1 & Side 2: XEX 710-1.
Disc 1, Side 1 stampers: 3DGH & Side 2 stampers are: 3 AH.
Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: XEX 711-1 & Side 4: XEX 712-1.
Disc 2, Side 3 stampers: 2 P & Side 4 stampers: 1 GA.
The KT tax code is clearly visible on the side 3 record label.
The TWO 12” Vinyl LPs are in excellent minus condition, both vinyl discs show light surface hairline scratches.
And come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags.
Both original black inner are in excellent condition, their are NO seam splits or tearing to the die-cut centres, just some light creases are visible.
….And are housed in an ORIGINAL, FULLY LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse GATEFOLD Sleeve. This FIRST ISSUE Sleeve is TOP OPENING and NUMBERED 0082934, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal black and white portraits of each of The Beatles together with the track listing, the gatefold sleeve is in excellent minus condition showing age toning, and light corner bumps.
There are Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle in excellent plus condition, no damage to any of the photos.
And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, in very good condition, the top portion of the poster has been sellotaped together with clear tape, also a stain on the reverse lyric side.
Play Quality:
Having carefully played both LPs, all FOUR sides play well throughout, with some mild background crackle on the quieter tracks, and the occasional light click, (PLEASE NOTE there is a small skip at the start of Glass Onion), otherwise a very nice CLEAR Mono sound.
