Description:

Original UK 1968 stereo top loading pressing of The Beatles double album released on Apple Records.

Both records remain in very good plus condition overall with clean glossy surfaces and moderate signs of careful play visible.

The first disc shows moderate spindle wear to the labels and has clearly been played more over the years though still retains strong playback overall.

Playback remains particularly punchy and clear throughout with only occasional light crackle audible in places following careful play testing.

The second disc remains cleaner overall and appears to have seen less play over the years.

There is a small amount of surface noise audible at the intro to Birthday before the track fully kicks in, after which playback remains strong and clear.

The original top loading sleeve remains in strong very good plus condition overall with solid structure and attractive presentation throughout.

The sleeve displays some light age yellowing which is common with these early laminated top loading copies.

The embossed front title and individual serial number remain especially well defined overall.

Includes the original black paper inner sleeves though both discs are now housed in fresh black poly-lined inner sleeves and it is recommended these are used for ongoing storage.

Also includes the complete set of four portrait inserts along with the large fold-out poster.

Carefully cleaned and fully play tested prior to listing.
