THE BEATLES: WHITE ALBUM
1ST Pressing MONO copy of the white album. 1st Pressing top opener sleeve complete with black apple die-cut inners, poster and 4 photos. Embossed sleeve with embossed number: 0311122
Record has early side 1 mother & stamper (1-P). 1st pressing 9/10/11/12-1 matrices.
NO EMI text on any of the 4 labels marking this as a very early 1st pressing mono copy. Requisite “Mfd in U.K.” & “sold in the UK…” text on all 4 labels.

GRADING
SLEEVE: VG+
Sleeve is in really fantastic condition with the surfaces being bright and clean and free from any damage or major defects. Very slight indentation of the records visible to the front and rear of the sleeve. Very slight yellowing and only slight darkening to the front and rear surfaces. Spine is straight and true with all text being legible. Very slight laminate peel to a 1cm section at the bottom of the spine. Slight dent to the bottom right corner. Inside of the gatefold is immaculate with no bobbling or discolouration. Very light feathering at the top opening aperture but this is entirely inconsequential and not noticeable.
Original poster is complete although there is a tear along first fold and a few other smaller tears to the edges of a couple of the other folds. That being said the poster is complete and there is no heavy staining or any other unsightly damage. Apple Black Die cut inners have a couple of tears to the centre but are complete.
All four photos are in EXCELLENT condition with no staining, folding, pen marks or tears. Photos retain their full colours and sheen and have quite obviously been rarely removed from the sleeve.
RECORDS: VG+
Both records play through fantastically with (of course) no skips or sticks. There are a number of very light sleeve removal marks to both records although these do not form a network and do no create any unsightly sustained background noise. There is intermittent light crackling. Below is outlined the more noticeable visual imperfections:
Record 1 – Side 1 has a longer light scuff mark covering the last 2 tracks.
Record 2 – side 3 has a 2 longer hairlines.
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

THE SLEEVE HAS "STEREO" PRINTED IN THE TOP BACK CORNER. THIS RECORD WAS OWNED FROM NEW BY A FREIND OF MY FATHERS. IT WAS BROUGHT THAT WAY NEW IN '68 SO IS THE RESULT OF A MISMATCHING IN THE FACTORY RATHER THAN DENOTING A BASTARDISED FRANKENSTEINEY COPY OF THE ALBUM.
