Description

Rare top-tier collectors vinyl! An exceptional, complete example of the legendary "White Album" in its earliest stereo iteration. This copy features highly desirable "Mother 1" identifiers, including the elusive Stamper G (Stamper #1) on Side 2, representing the very first production mold used for that master.

Vinyl:


Very Good Plus. Clean with a deep gloss and the characteristic "oily sheen" of early 1968 EMI pressings. Minimal spindle wear. Minimal paper scuffs from the inner sleeve. No feelable marks. Lightly cleaned with some lint present.


Sleeve:


Top-opening gatefold jacket, numbered No. 0541147. Fully laminated exterior with embossed "The Beatles." Good with minor blemishes present. Minimal ring wear. Bright lamination present. Minimal yellowing/foxing present.


Inserts:


100% Complete. Includes the original large fold-out lyric poster, all 4 glossy color portraits, and both (2) original matte black die-cut inner sleeves. Sleeves show wear with tears but are otherwise intact.

All four sides feature the original -1 matrix suffix, indicating the sought-after "tube-cut" mastering.


Side 1 (YEX 709-1): Mother: 1 (at 9 o'clock) | Stamper: TA (#93 at 3 o'clock).


Side 2 (YEX 710-1): Mother: 1 (at 9 o'clock) | Stamper: G (#1 at 3 o'clock) — First Stamper.


Side 3 (YEX 711-1): Mother: 2 (at 6 o’clock) | Identification: Sideways “A” at the 12 o’clock position.


Side 4 (YEX 712-1): Mother: G (#1 at 9 o'clock) | Stamper: MB (#45, staggered at 3 o'clock).

Examples of very good to very good plus are appraised in the $1800-$2800 with those with minimal yellowing being towards the higher end of that range. With mint examples being $3600 and above.
