Description
This is the original 1968 1st Press Mono double L.P. It is in the top opening Garrod and Lofthouse laminated sleeve and bears the very low number 0010295. It is complete with the song sheet /poster and four colour photographs.
The Apple labels show PMC 7067 and PMC 7068 and also the text "Sold in UK". The matrix numbers are XEX 709-1, XEX 710-1, XEX 711-1 and XEX 712-1.
Condition :
- Vinyl All four sides are in excellent condition. There are a few hairlines but I have played all four sides today and there are no jumps or crackles - to me it sounds as good and as fresh as the day I bought it in 1968. The four circular Apple labels are in excellent condition.
- Sleeve The top opening flip back gatefold sleeve by Garrod and Lofthouse is in perfectly acceptable condition. The edges have yellowed with age and the corner below the stamped number has been bent. There is a stain of around 2.5 cms to the bottom centre of the open gatefold which also shows on the outside by the spine. However the printing on the spine is totally legible and the laminate, front and back, is still shiny.
- Inner Sleeves These are the original black sleeves. One is close to perfect, the other has two small tears (5 mm and 15 mm) to the circular cut-out and two even smaller tears (4 mm) to the top opening.
- Song Sheet / Poster The sheet has no sticky tape, no pin holes, no pen marks - just the original folds.
- Photographs All four are in "as new" condition.
