Description

The Beatles x 5 Vinyl Collection (All genuine first pressings)

On offer here is a very impressive Beatles collection and rarely do you see five genuine UK first pressings being sold as one 'lot'.  The first three on the list are mono pressings also.

A Hard Day's Night (3N/3N)

Revolver (2/1 Withdrawn version)

Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band (1/1)

Abbey Road (2/1 Misaligned Apple)

Let It Be (2U/2U Red Apple Cover)

Of course the rarest album here is 'Revolver' which has the 'Remix 11' version of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' and not the standard 'Remix 8' which replaced it on all other pressings.  Overall it plays extremely well and is a prime example of a vinyl playing far better than it looks.  There are a few hairlines and faint marks but by no means is it in poor condition.  There are ten clicks on 'Eleanor Rigby' and a little interference on 'Here, There and Everywhere' but the majority of the remainder play very well indeed.

'A Hard Day's Night' has stunning audio with not a single click or pop!  The vinyl is in lovely condition with a superb glossy sheen and only a small number of very faint hairlines.

'Sgt Peppers...' is of a standard that is so rarely heard today and has only one light click during 'Within You Without You'.  The rest of the album plays with wonderful clarity and depth and for once 'She's Leaving Home' has very little static background and again the record is in lovely condition with only a couple of very minor marks.  The only downside here is that whilst it is the more collectable mono version it has somehow found its way into a stereo cover.

'Abbey Road' plays to a 'high end' standard and the only intrusive interference is a handful of clicks on the 'You Never Give Me Your Money' intro.  S1 in particular is stunning.  The vinyl is very impressive visually with only a small number of mega faint hairlines.

S1 of 'Let It Be' plays extremely well but with some obvious interference on the title track for 3/4 seconds.  S2 does have some interference here and there but do not get me wrong, many sections play with excellent audio.  The vinyl does have a few more hairlines and a couple of faint scuffs but is still better than many I have seen!

The covers are in excellent condition apart from 'Let It Be' as described below.  The remaining four have very little shelf wear and whilst it may be the 'wrong' cover, 'Sgt Peppers...' is in superb condition.  Of course as they are genuine first pressings 'Abbey Road' has the 'misaligned apple' and 'Let It Be' has the 'red apple' on the back cover.  The former just has a little wear next to the opening edge but is otherwise in lovely condition.
