"hello goodbye / I am the walrus"
UK PARLOPHONE DEMO
A beautiful copy of an extremely scarce demonstration copy of this 1967single.
As I am sure collectors know, these copies with a big letter 'A' on the side to be 'plugged' by radio stations and DJs were pressed and sent out prior to the actual record's release. The record company would not have pressed that many, perhaps a couple of hundred. Since most were used as intended, that is to say, played a lot, only a few have survived at all let alone in good condition. This particular copy has survived very well.
The A-side side label is very clean. There is the name 'mandy' written in blue ink at the 7 o'clock position. The playing surface is clean and shiny there are a few light surface marks and one more visible series of 'scuffs' on the grooves at the 5 o'clock position caused by handling. The audio quality is very good.
The "I am the walrus" side label is perfectly clean. The playing surface is in 'near mint' condition and has a great shine. There are a few very light surface marks which are only visible under a strong light and do not affect the audio quality.
This is a great opportunity to get a copy of this super-rare Beatles single.
