Description

The Beatles,    Sergeant Pepper LP.             This is a rare 1969 UK STEREO MISPRESSING,on Parlophone Records PCS 7027, with 'The Gramophone Company' label rim text, just ONE 'EMI' box on the labels & disc matrix numbers YEX 637-1 / 638-1........ HOWEVER, THIS COPY HAS A 'STEREO' LABEL ON SIDE ONE OF THE DISC BUT A 'MONO' LABEL ON SIDE TWO! (both sides otherwise have the correct stereo matrix numbers & play in stereo).         The FULLY LAMINATED gatefold sleeve has a repaired tear across the front cover otherwise in pretty worn but intact condition, with 90% clear spine text, a very clean inside cover & the back cover with lyrics is clean........with fairly clean labels, the disc has light to moderate marking but plays through OK, with background surface noise more evident in quieter parts & also the odd skip here & there....... always listenable.…….. overall, a very acceptable copy of this potentially rare mispressing.
