Incredibly rare copy of The Beatles Something New Record Club Edition, manufactured by Longines Symphonette Society, a record label that specialized in releasing classic radio programs and multiple-record boxed sets. The company was a subsidiary of the Longines watch company that also sold its own private-label stereo phonographs. The company purchased the record club edition rights to the catalog of Capitol Records from the label for its Capitol Record Club in 1968 and continued to press Capitol LPs for the club until 1975. Very rare 1st Capitol Records Club Edition cover with a different catalog number and three unique diagonal stripe markers at the top left of the front cover. The cover is in Excellent condition, super clean and has almost no signs of wear. Some very light hints of ring wear on the front cover with no signs of ring wear on the bright back cover. The rigid spine with a fully readable text, contains a unique catalog number ST-8-2108. The back cover has a factory designator RIAA 16 at the bottom right corner. The bottom of the back cover also doesn't mention the various pressing plants as regular issues do, but gives the Hollywood and Vine Streets location, specific to the Club issues. Minimal wear on the corners and edges. The cover doesn't have any writing or indentation marks. It's very hard to find a 1st Capitol Records Club Issue cover in such an excellent shape, considering that most of the time it's found with a pretty heavy ring wear and scuffing. The glossy vinyl is absolutely beautiful and I doubt that it has ever been played, containing only a couple of super light barely noticeable surface scuffs. The clean labels are saturated lime without any hints of spindle marks. The left side of the vinyl reads "Manufactured by Longines Symphonette, Symphonette Square New Rochelle, New York Underlicensed by Capitol Records Inc." on the left from the spindle hole and catalog number "ST-8-2108" on the right. The bottom of the label reads Manufactured under license from Capitol Records, Inc., Hollywood and Vine Streets, Hollywood, California. Realizing how important it is to secure the safety of the item you've paid your money for, I'll put my best effort into packing the records as best as possible, triple boxing them into the specialized professional boxes, with the two outer boxes having a special construction with extended cardboard on the edges to prevent the record covers' corners from getting damaged during the transit, and will also put the vinyl outside of the cover (of course, unless it's a sealed record) to prevent the splitting. I always try responding to the messages, but please, before sending me a message, make sure that the answer to your question isn't included in the description. I'll use my right to block a buyer, who doesn't correspond to my idea of politeness, culture and respect toward each other.
