World Records & EMI present : The Twenty-four Original Beatles Singles
A companion set to their excellent import 'Beatles Box' of LPs in the early 80's, which featured an original chronology and mix of singles interspersed w/ LP cuts over 8 unique albums, this Australian import is not quite as ambitious, choosing to stick with the 'official' singles release lineup. The box's fold-over spine itself shows significant wear from what could only be numerous openings & closings this probably went through. However, the records and sleeves themselves are in Near Mint condition, and I only say N/M instead of Mint due to the condition of the box itself, which is almost 2" thick, roughly the same thickness as the 'The Beatles LP Box Set'. The actual records are flawless, and the only complaint I have w/ it is that they use the same pic sleeve cover for the first seven singles, another pic sleeve cover for the next six singles, another for the next 4 singles & another for the next 5 singles, with 2 'special' sleeves for the last 2 singles. I don't understand that, but there's no denying the high sound quality of ALL the records in this box set, which feature classic Parlophone labels and LP-size spindle holes. It's obvious these records have barely been played, and they'd make a great addition to your Beatles vinyl collection!
