Sleeve:
Very Good Plus condition. A couple of thumbnail creases to the laminate and a few dents on the spine edge but otherwise faultless lamination, and has retained its glossy bright colour. The spine is still clear white and unfrayed with clear title text. The gatefold pictorial inside of the Fab Four has no lamination creases and is unmarked, and the laminate down the length of the spine inside is also completely intact and still opens with a new ‘crack’ type sound. There is a very minor amount of edge wear to the opening edge and there are tiny corner scuffs.
This is a very neat example with no writing or writing imprints.
The Fourth Proof sleeves were the selected prototype for the new thin type sleeves which were manufactured almost in unison or immediately following the deployment of the wide spine sleeves. This one has the serial number AR D 1321, which was probably factory code for the printing pressers. These fourth proof sleeves differ in colour to the regular sleeves (and the wide spine sleeves) in that the inside gatefold photo of the Fab Four have much lighter hues eg. John Lennon’s jacket appears to be much more yellow than green. These spines were also much thinner and are usually found torn from the record resting against it. This one isn’t, it is luckily completely intact.
It also has the ‘Patents Pending’ remark on the rear of the sleeve.
Inner Sleeve: The psychedelic ‘Fools’ inner sleeve is completely intact without splits to the edges, and there is no age spotting. Very Good Plus condition for one these. There is little record ring wear.

The Vinyl: In Very Good Plus condition with a fair amount of ultra-light wispy hairlines revealed under bright light which are superficial to the surfaces i.e. nothing obtrusive to the audio and certainly nothing that can be considered anything near like a scratch or a hairline which particularly stands out. The surfaces still project a jet black glossy pressing sheen, and are clean. There is no groove wear, warps, scuffs or scratches.
The Labels: Excellent/ Excellent Plus condition. There is hardly any spindle wear and just a few feint spindle line traces. The KT tax code is still very bold.
The Audio: The audio is pretty much faultless with just the occasional light static type ticks evident but only in some of the run-in’s and fade-out’s - barely noticeable and nothing on the vinyl surfaces to create any discernible loss in audio quality. No crackle, pops, skips, jumps or sticks or unwanted noise. Plays smoothly and clearly on both sides with crisp lucid detail and warm mono bass.
