THE BEATLES. SGT PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND. 1ST PRESS MONO PMC 7027. ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE AND DARK GREEN CUT-OUT INSERT. EXCELLENT+
My listening equipment is a highly revealing Yamaha PF-800 turntable (easily equal to an LP12) with Glanz MC cartridge, pre/power amps and KEF Reference 104ab speakers. I playgrade records (not just visual inspection) and I clean them on a vacuum record cleaning machine before listening.
Played on my system this LP grades Excellent+ with just a trace of some very minor background noise between tracks and occasional quiet parts. Side two has a few soft ticks towards the end which are not intrusive. There are a couple of small surface marks to the vinyl on side one which are only visible in angled light and these are of no audio consequence. Matrix numbers are XEX 637-1 and XEX 638-1.
Side one stampers: 5 TP. Side two stampers: 3 5 GAR.
The laminated gatefold cover is in excellent condition and has the 1st press flipback to the centre spread. There is a little cracking to the laminate on the spine (see close-up photo), but this is something you can feel rather than see. The original inner sleeve is in excellent condition as is the dark green insert with all its cut-outs intact
This is a fantastic First Pressing of this legendary album.
