Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' 1967 FIRST press MONO vinyl LP!
This particular pressing is the very first mono pressing of Sgt Pepper. It features the much less common "Widespine" cover variation that dneotes a first press. This is where the spine is much wider than usual and wasn't printed for very long!

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are a decent amount of light scratches and hairline marks on the record...none that are feelable however! Still retains a nice gloss and shine but could do with a clean as it seems to be dusty/dirty. Rated as VERY GOOD. Label is VERY GOOD. Side 2 - same as Side 1 but with no feelable marks!
Audio: I have play-tested the first track on either side ONLY!!! I can confirm that these 2 tracks grade as GOOD+. There was no skips, no jumps and no sticks on my system on these two tracks. There is some obvious crackle present - could clean out but I'm not sure. Very punchy bass with that lovely 60s warmth and crisp highs! Can hear every instrument but there is definitely crackle present - a deep clean could help this! Can't beat this classic Sgt Pepper mono mix!
Inner Sleeve: The fool inner sleeve is original but it has seam splits on all sides and has been repaired with tape. It does also have two very small pen marks on it. Rated as FAIR as it still houses the record.
Sleeve: The original 1967 MONO gatefold WIDESPINE sleeve is currently rated as VERY GOOD! The front of the sleeve has a lovely gloss and shine but it does have some ringwear and light laminate creasing with an area of lamination rise in the lower left. The rear of the sleeve is free from writing and has a lovely gloss but does have some ringwear. The inner gatefold has some light creasing and marks on the flipbacks. The flipbacks are held down tightly. The widespine is 100% readable and strong with some slight creasing in places
