On offer here is a 1965 UK MONO 1st pressing of a RUBBER SOUL by THE BEATLES
The Cat. No is PMC 1267 on the yellow and black Parlophone?label.
This is the 1st press of this classic debut album with Gramophone Co. rim text, 'Sold in UK" text and -1 -1 matrix endings.
Side 1 mothers and stampers are 2 AP Side 2 mothers and stampers are 1 H
THE?VINYL is in VG- condition. This LP has seen a fair bit of action. Visually there are plenty of light marks and scuffs and a couple of heavier ones one of which cause some light clicking which can be heard during parts of tracks 3 & 4 of side 2. I have played it through and it is still listenable, it plays through without skips or jumps and only light background noise which only really becomes apparent between tracks. The labels are VG+ with no writing but some spindlewear.
THE?INNER?SLEEVE is the ORIGINAL trace lined EMITEX inner sleeve which is in VG condition with no writing or tears, but does have repaired sellotaped seams on 3 sides.
The front laminated 'G&L' cover is in VG condition with general wear and a name written on the back (bottom right corner, see photo). There is a small 15mm seam split on the top edge at the opening and a scuff on the top edge. Apart from that there are no other splits the edges are sound and the spine legible. The opening edges are straight with only minor feathering.
So a really quite rare item but in average condition.
