Catalog Number: T-2442 Matrix Number: T1-2442-F3#2 IAM (in triangle) Note: On back cover, there is NO factory designator number on the lower right back printed directly below "Freeman" near the RIAA logo.
In a stroke of marketing whimsy, Capitol Records removed four songs from the U.K. edition of Rubber Soul, and added two songs from the U.K. Help! in an attempt to offer a more "American" release. Surprisingly enough, the reworked U.S. edition holds together better than its British counterpart. Obviously inspired by the folk-rock sound blossoming in the States, the songs on the U.S. Rubber Soul show the influence that the sound of the Byrds and the songwriting of Bob Dylan were having on the Beatles. The songs added from Help! (the pleading acoustic "It's Only Love" and the rollicking opener "I've Just Seen a Face") change the entire feel of the album, making it more earthy and textural. By dropping the piano-driven "Drive My Car" and the stark "Nowhere Man," the U.S. edition stands as a much more organic and warm musical whole, enduring as by far the most intimate Beatles album until Let It Be was released in 1970.

- Domestically, we ship all single LPs Media Mail, for which we have a flat rate. If you want the LP shipped Priority, please request an invoice from us.
- Internationally, our flat shipping rate is $26 for First Class International. For Priority Int’l, please request an invoice.
- All domestic packages are tracked. Ask us if you would like the tracking number.
- We'll combine shipping costs on multiple wins (or store purchases) to save money for the buyer.
- The automatically generated invoice provided by eBay for multiple items doesn't understand combined shipping (it just adds the individual costs together), but we'll issue a proper invoice with the reduced shipping within 16 hours.
- If you have specific shipping instructions, we will be glad to follow them. Let us know upon purchase. We are professionals and pack with extreme care. However, we know some customers may have specific requirements for how their items are to be packed. Please confirm any such packing requests with us before bidding to be sure we can accomodate you. Different packing materials have different weights, so if for example you want a box for an item we might normally ship in a bubble mailer, the shipping cost will probably change.
- Massachusetts residents must pay sales tax because we are a Massachusetts business.
