Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Beatles, Rolling Stones and some progressive records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare 1st UK MONO (Loud Cut) pressing of The Beatles – Rubebr Soul on the YELLOW / BLACK Parlophone label, cat. no. PMC 1267. This copy has the extremely rare E.J. Day cover, with no “Trade Mark” text on the Parlophone logo on the front.
The record is in VG condition; there are a some non-sounding hairlines and a couple superficial surface marks. The labels (with Gramophone Company in the Rim, “Sold in UK” sentence and the P 1965 text) are in VG+ condition as well, there are a couple spindle marks and some wear around the spindle hole. The Tax Code is KT and can be found on side 1, the matrix numbers have the -1 / -1 endings, indicating the first pressing of this Beatles mono album.
The cover, an E.J. Day printed one, is in VG condition; there is some slight wear on the opening edge of the front, also some thumbnails and a couple crinkles on the front and there is some age browning and a small name written on the back. The record comes with an original EMITEX inner sleeve, which looks in VG condition; all the seams have been tape repaired and there is some wear along the opening edge.
This is an very rare 1st MONO pressing of the Beatles’ Rubber Soul album (a.k.a. Loud Cut), with the extremely rare E.J. Day cover. Most mono pressings of this record you’ll find are housed in the common Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Although not in Mint condition, this is a very rare Rubber Soul Mono copy and a real opportunity to complete your life-time Beatles record collection! A must have for all Beatles records collectors!
