Hello and welcome to this auction for an ULTRA RARE 'Beatles - Rubber Soul LOUD CUT 12" 1965 RARE original Parlophone LP vinyl 1st press' in overall VERY GOOD+ condition.
This particular first pressing is MEGA RARE as it features FOUR rarities that make it a superb collectors item!! Here are the four rarities:
- It is a VERY EARLY loud cut with -1 / -1 matrixes!! Very rare!
- It features a rarer Ernest J. Day & Co sleeve!
- It has an EXTRA DOT in the 'Sold in UK' statement on side 1!
- It has mother stampers that date it to one of the earliest pressings - 1 GL and 2 GH
In my eyes, the record is in VERY GOOD condition! I have play tested it all the way through and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO JUMPS and NO STICKS! The record lies very flat and plays very well - I would rate the audio for both sides as VERY GOOD. There is some crackle throughout (more noticeable in the quieter parts, Michelle etc) but a deep clean would make this EXCELLENT! The audio is loud, crisp and punchy, with original tonality and often masks the crackle. These loud cut mixes were never considered that great anyway but this sounds VERY GOOD. The labels are in great shape and look good. The original EMITEX inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition - looks great and houses the record very well! Slight split in the inner sleeve but nothing major.
The sleeve is 100% intact and houses the record very well. I rate it as Very Good-. Have a look at the pictures and see for yourself! No writing or anything like that. Spine is very readable. There is a small section of the lower left flipback that is missing and just general storage wear. Please look at the pictures to see for yourself!! It may be worth buying a sleeve upgrade because this record is MEGA RARE!
