RECORD COLLECTOR'S GRADING SYSTEM
Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
LOUD CUT MONO
XEX 579-1/XEX 580-1 looks very scuffed, but as is often the case with the vinyl from this era, it plays fine and actually sounds great to me. Yes it has crackle, some distortion in places and random pops / clicks but has retained a nice dynamic sound. No jumps or skips. Old sticker remnant on label. Sleeve a bit creased and grubby on the unlaminated rear with edge wear but no split seams. A good spin on a vacuum based record cleaner would help greatly but I do not have one. Garrod LofthousE
