Description

Hi there and welcome to my auction. I'm listing several rare 1st press Beatles albums (best thing to do in a lock down!). Well rare due to condition as they are mostly near mint 1st pressings. Several stunning Hendrix albums getting listed at some point. It all takes a lot of time to do properly. Help Revolver Beatles For Sale will all be getting listed and combined postage is always offered.

These Beatles records came from the estate of an obsessive Paul McCartney fan who was told to stop hassling him! She followed him round the world during his World Tour 89/90 and taped every concert! Had the tapes and sold them on, sound quality was shocking! Every radio interview from the late 80's onwards, Crazy stuff. Anyway these are the last few albums that i kept hold of but now seems a good time to sell them.

This is a 1st Pressing 'Loud Cut' with the correct Matrix numbers.
I'll just run through the facts with this record and let you the buyer/expert decide the value as everyone is always claiming 'best copy on Ebay blah blah.
Please study the images as well for possible things i may have missed.
Records can be a mine field of variations and Beatles records have so many it's hard to keep up. I'm not an expert on Beatles stuff but do have an understanding of what to look for etc so
This has an unusual combination of labels, Sans Serif and Times New Roman font. This could be significant to the hardcore fans. Side A - Sans Serif font which i understand was used on the earlier 'Loud Cut' issues Side B - Times New Roman font (So this may be transitional as at some point it switches to this font)
Matrix Runout numbers: Side 1 XEX 579 - 1 Side 2 XEX 580 - 1
Stampers: Side 1 - RH (Corresponds to 27, which is nice and early) Side 2 - PH (Corresponds to 67, still early)
Mother stamps Side 1 - 4 Side 2 - 4
This is important information but moving on the condition of both vinyl, inner sleeve and outer sleeve
Vinyl Side A - Mint- Side B - Mint- Superb copy with a few spindle marks but no marks at all to the vinyl maybe some very very fine paper scratches if you look very carefully under a strong light but it's as close to mint as you can get really.
Inner sleeve - VG+  Original, showing some slight discolouration and small creases
Outer sleeve - VG+ This would get a higher mint- grading if it wasn't for 2 spots were the laminate has hardened and flaked plus several much smaller spots and a thumb print on the back (If i say it's John Lennons thumb print i'd be lying). These are the only flaws and knocks it down a grade but i've seen worse being sold as better.
That's the bones of it.
I'm listing this album with no reserve and a £1.00 start price so it can achieve a fair sale price based on fair competition. There is the option to make an offer so bare this in mind.
A superb copy of this classic album by the most influential band in the world.
