VINYL:

            Side 1:  plays Mint, visually Mint- under normal light, visually EX+ seen under halogen light due to superficial rubs from paper inner sleeve.

            Side 2:  same as side 1

DEAD WAX:

            Side 1:  matrix ends with 6 indicating tube cut, also has HTM (see description)

            Side 2:  matrix ends with 5 indicating tube cut analog like side 1

LABELS:

            Side 1:  a few nearly invisible spindle marks

            Side 2:  same as side 1

COVER:

            Front:   solid seams, excellent spine, sharp corners, no ring wear, a few tiny indentations, slight bend in upper left and a few thumbnails typical of these thin UK covers.

            Back:  no ring wear, Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd printed lower right, crisp opening, tiny bump lower right corner

INNER:   original inner, will also come with a UK archival inner.

DESCRIPTION:  I compared this LP to an original Parlophone mono and heard no difference. The dead wax numbers indicate that an analog tube cut master was used. Side 1 also has HTM which stands for Harry T Moss who re-cut that side. Side 2 matrix ends with 5 indicating original 1965 tube cutting. Here’s some information about Harry T Moss pulled from the web:

            In 1982 all of The Beatles mono LPs were re-pressed from the original mono master-tapes. All sound incredible and are easily equal to, if not in some cases better than, their 1st pressing counterparts. Many carried 1st pressing matrices and those that were re-cut were done so by ace original Beatles cutting engineer Harry Moss ('HTM').  The Beatles' catalogue in the future would be from digital sources.

Records are shipped in the highest quality Whiplash LP mailers with the record secured outside of the cover to avoid seam splits. Returned LPs must be shipped in the same way. Damage to the cover or disc will void returns.

Please don’t bid if If you own a Crosley or similar inexpensive (aka “cheap”) turntable. LPs that play perfectly on a real turntable may have problems playing correctly on a toy turntable with no ability to adjust tone arm tracking weight or anti-skid. These junk tables will destroy your collection.

   I began buying records in the mid 60’s and I've always been fanatical about record care and storage.

   The records I sell are from my personal collection, including backup copies. I've never been one to buy VG records or anything with an audible scratch, which eliminates the vast majority. If I do miss an audible flaw, then kindly contact me and it will be rectified.

   I use standard US grading plus the UK grade of EX in order to eliminate the dreaded VG++

   Records are first inspected under a halogen light (the only light that shows every flaw) and any blemishes are examined with a 10x power magnifier which allows the grooves to be fully inspected. Then they’re play graded on a Linn Sondek LP12.

   As a record buyer, I've had a lot of over graded “garage sale” LPs arrive covered with gritty dust and greasy fingerprints while the seller claims a “visual” grade based on fantasy. Be assured that my records will arrive clean and fingerprint free.
