On offer today is an ABSOLUTLY RARE VERY FIRST PRESSING OF The Beatles "REVOLVER" LP!

This is a genuine 1966 1st PRESSING OF THE BEATLES SEVENTH ALBUM AND WHAT MAKES THIS EXTREAMLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT HAS THE ORIGINAL ALTERNATE MIX OF "TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS" ON IT!

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL "DAY OF RELEASE" EDITION OF REVOLVER THAT WAS WITHDRAWN AFTER THE FIRST WEEK OF RELEASE BECAUSE E.M.I FELT THE MIX OF "TNK" WAS TOO UNBALENCED WITH THE REST OF THE ALBUM TRACKS SO THEY QUICKLY REMIXED IT AND ISSUED THE STANDARD MONO MIX THAT WENT ON TO ALL SUBSIQUENT MONO PRESSINGS OF THE ALBUM! IT FEATURES THE EXREAMLY RARE 606-1 MATRIX NUMBER ON THE DEAD WAX OF SIDE 2 WHICH PROVES IT IS EXACTLY WHAT IT IS! A VERY VERY RARE LP! ALSO WHAT MAKES IT EVEN MORE  INCREDIBLE IS THAT IT IS IN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC CONDITION!

The Record is in EXCELLENT condition with only a couple of light surface marks that do not affect the playback whatsoever and can only be seen under strong light! Both sides have been carefully tested on a high quality Garrard deck and playback is ABSOLUTLY AWESOME! There is a slight pop at the start of "Here, a There and everywhere" but that is only very slight and does not take away the enjoyment of the listening experience whatsoever, Both sides run in very smoothly with minimal crackle only expected of a record this age. The Alternate mix of "Tomorrow never knows" sounds so powerful and vibrant and so very crystal clear that you wonder why they withdrew it in the first place! And for THIS particular version of this album which were bought by die hard Beatles fans who most likely queued up on the day of release back in August 1966 to get the very first copies of it available! And then once home  told their friends they had it and it would be played and played until it would be ruined! Then to get another copy a few months later only do discover it didn't quite sound the same as the 1st one? That's because it was withdrawn, remixed and re-released in under a week!

The 1st press Garrard + Lofthouse Sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition with perfect clear graphics just like the day it was printed! The rear of the sleeve has all the flipbacks strong and intact with only very slight fade to the black print on the back cover! the only very small minor issue is slight storage rubbing in the left had corner! Apart from that, ITS PERFECT! Also the spine is complete and fully ledgible which is also rare with this particular LP.

So overall This fabulously rare LP  gets an EXCELLENT rating and you will be very hard pushed to find a better copy for the price.

So because of its rarity we have set a very realistic reserve for it which reflects its condition, and it's overall one in a lifetime opportunity.
