STUNNING FIRST PRESS VINYL WITH MISPRESS DR ROBERT ON LABEL.
THE GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE PATENTS PENDING SLEEVE EASILY GRADES EXCELLENT WITH ONLY MINIMAL CREASING AND WEAR.THE BLACK IS STILL BOLD AND THE WHITE IS STILL BRIGHT.THERE IS SOME LIGHT DUSTING OF THE OPENING EDGE.THE SPINE IS STILL SUPER SHARP WITH PERFECT TEXT.THERE ARE SOME SLIGHT CORNER BUMPS.THE REAR AND FLIPBACKS ARE ALSO EXCELLENT WITH ONLY SLIGHT OPEN EDGE AGEING.THE TEXT IS STRONG WHITE ON BOLD BLACK BACKGROUND.THERE IS A SLIGHT RECORD IMPRINT.A SUPERB SLEEVE!
THE LABELS ARE ALSO A STRONG EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH MINIMAL WEAR AROUND THE HOLE INDICATING THAT IT HASN'T BEEN PLAYED VERY OFTEN AND OF COURSE ALSO HAS THE MIS SPELT DR ROBERT TEXT.
THE THICKSET VINYL IS FANTASTIC WITH JET BLACK MIRROR LIKE SURFACES.IT EASILY GRADES EX+ AND IS A FEW WISPY LINES FROM NEAR MINT.NO SCRATCHES OR HAIRLINES.
PLAYBACK IS AWESOME NEAR MINT! IT IS CRYSTAL CLEAR BASSY MONO WITH NO BACKGROUND NOISE.EVEN THE RUN INS ARE SILENT!IN MY OPINION THESE MID 60S FIRST PRESS VINYLS HAVE THE BEST SOUND QUALITY OF ALL.EVEN THOUGH THE EARLIEST RELEASES SEEM TO PLAY WELL WITH SCRATCHES AND DAMAGE THEY DON'T SEEM TO HAVE THE CLARITY AND TONE OF THESE SLIGHTLY LATER ONES.
THE VINYL COMES IN ITS CORRECT PLAIN WHITE PATENTS PENDING INNER SLEEVE THAT ALSO GRADES EXCELLENT WITH NO DAMAGE.NO AGE DISCOLOURING,JUST A BIT OF CREASING.
OVERALL THIS IS A TOP COPY OF A VERY EARLY FIRST PRESS THAT WOULD HOLD ITS OWN IN ANY BEATLES COLLECTION.
Grading:
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks no deterioration in sound, all paperwork should be in perfect condition
Excellent: The Record shows some signs of being played, there is very little lessening of sound quality. The packaging may have very slight signs of wear and /or creasing.
Very Good: The Record has been played a number of times, but there is no major deterioration in sound quality, despite slight surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good; The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps some mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits and discoloration.
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
